Your medical records are confidential and will not be discussed with anyone else other than the health professionals within this Practice without your permission. The Practice complies with the Data Protection and Access to Records Acts.
Our staff are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the Doctors and Nurses. We ask you for information so that we you can receive proper care and treatment. We keep this information, together with details of your care, because it may be needed if we see you again.
You may be receiving care from other people as well as the NHS. So that we can all work together for your benefit, we may need to share some information about you. We only ever use or pass on information if people have a genuine need for it and it is in your and everyone’s interests. Whenever we can, we shall remove details that identify you. Anyone who receives information from us is also under a legal duty to keep it confidential.
We are pleased to see young people who wish to discuss health matters either alone or accompanied.

Patient Responsibillities
Being a patient brings with it certain responsibilities and we would ask that you:
Be courteous to all the staff at all times. Please remember they are trying to help you. There is no place for aggressive or rude attitudes at our surgery; it upsets our other patients too. We want our practice to be a friendly place for everybody.
Be on time for your appointments.
Cancel your appointments in plenty of time. Someone else could use your appointment!
Make separate appointments for each member of the family who needs to be seen. An appointment is for one person only.
Zero Tolerance
The Practice has a zero tolerance policy and any patient who is rude or abusive to a member of staff, may be asked to leave the Practice.
Disabled Access
Both surgeries have facilities for disabled members of the community.
